We are excited to announce a new feature on FastlaneTraffic.

Yes, it is about time!

Now, all members can track every hit sent to their referral URL. You can see how many hits you have received each day and where they came from. When a member signs up, we will also let you know where they signed up from! Pretty neat, I must say.

To track the hits that you receive to your referral URL, you will need to create a campaign name. And thats easy!

You can pinpoint where your hits (and signups) are coming from by adding the campaign name to the end of your referral URL with the code: &cn=campaign_name

For example, if you were advertising your referral URL with MSN, you could submit the following: http://www.fastlanetraffic.com/?r=your_username_here&cn=MSN

Thats all there is to it. Feel free to login to your Members Area at anytime see how many hits you have received to each campaign and if you received any signups from that particular campaign. Just scroll down to the table entitled Referral Statistics and click on Referral URL Tracking Stats.

There are a few updates we have finally completed to inform you about. First, I am sure you know about the FLT Surfing Challenge. Right? Well, if not, you wager credits or banner impressions to enter. Then, you try your best to surf at least 10 websites each day for 30 days (a breeze if you ask me). If you complete the challenge successfully, you win 5 times the amount of what you wagered! Pretty neat, huh? Well now we give you even more incentive to try out the challenge. Our five highest-level challengers are listed right along with our top websites on all FLT pages. This is great promotion for your sites because these pages are seen all over the Internet and search engines. Go ahead! Sign-up for the challenge, get put at the top of our website, surf and earn credits, and then win even more credits for completing the challenge! What more could one ask for?

In other news, we have changed the way referral credits are added to your account. You still earn the same great amount of credits, four levels deep. However, now credits you earn from your referrals are automatically assigned to your active websites. So, if you have not logged in recently, check to make sure all of your websites are correct and up-to-date. Even if you have not surfed, they may be receiving traffic due to referral credits.

And lastly, we are always trying to improve security to ensure good, quality traffic for all of our members. We have made a few changes to our Security Check page. You will not see this quite as often, however it is more effective than before when it does popup.

First of all, let me personally welcome all new members. Our membership base has grown quickly over the last few months. This is great for our program because it means we can deliver more traffic to all users. I know new members will promptly see why FastlaneTraffic has stuck around for years and continues to remain one of the top traffic exchanges on the net.

Secondly, because of our growth, we have upgraded our server....again. What can I say, I am from the U.S. and we just like things to be fast. No more worries about our site being slow or inaccessible as with our last server. Members may have noticed some downtime from Tuesday while the DNS change was taking effect. We actually redirected some traffic to a backup site to reduce the amount of downtime. Rest assured that even though the URL was different, it was still us.

Thirdly, we realize how aggravating receiving tons of emails can be. But then again we know how people like to be informed and kept up to date on a program. To try and balance the two, we have setup an email preference section under the Profile tab in our Members Area. Major updates such as this are required, however all other email notifications may be turned on or off from this section.

Lastly, we invite each of you to take advantage of our new server. We can now move hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of hits per day - - - theoretically. And it is our goal to make that statement a proven fact!

Some quick things to let you know about:

1. There are some changes in our referral system. You will still continue to earn credits from your referrals surfing on 4 levels and cash commissions for each referral upgrade. In addition, you will now also receive 50 credits and 100 banner impressions for each referral. These will be added to your account once your referral has been confirmed and active. You can check out promotion banners we have and find your referral link by logging into your account and clicking on Promote FLT.

2. We have recently added a new cashout feature. This will allow anyone that has earned cash from referrals to convert this to credits or banner impressions. Or, if you have accumulated at least $10, you may request a Paypal payment. If you have money in your account, I encourage you to use this feature. You can find the link by logging in and click on the Cashout link found under the Referral Statistics section.

We have just updated our policy regarding the number of websites and banners you may list with our program. We have decided to allow an unlimited number of websites and banners for all members.

Because we now allow you to decide how many times your site is viewed by the same person each day, we need more sites in rotation to display.

Please consider listing multiple sites and keeping credits assigned to each them.

We are constantly working on ways to increase user activity and the promotion of all member sites. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please feel free to email me.

For approximately two or three weeks now (ever since our last major update), referrals were not registered correctly. Therefore, any members you may have referred were actually not listed as one of your referrals. We have just corrected this problem and do sincerely apologize for this mistake.

I have some really great news for big promoters. We now list the top 5 websites right on our home page and other main pages of FLT. Please make sure the titles for all of your websites are correct as this is how we list your site. Currently the top five websites with the most credits assigned to them will be listed.

All members are encouraged to check these programs out as they are being pushed hard by their promoters whom can testify that they do work and can bring success! Being listed on our home page is also great for search engine rankings. Of course you know the more sites that link to you, the higher your ranking in the search engines.

Secondly, we integrated FLT with Paypal's Instant Payment Notification interface. Now, any purchases you make through Paypal will instantly be posted to your FLT account! Pretty cool, huh? We will also be working to implement this feature with 2Checkout soon.

While we were at it, we added a News Archive. Every major update since the time we fired up in June 2003 can be found here. Look for the link on the left-hand side of the home page. I encourage you to read some of these past updates to see how much FLT has grown and improved since we first started.

Because of high demand, we now allow upgraded members to email their downline. FLT handles the mailing so that no actual email address is revealed. All members have the option of allowing or disallowing such emails. This can be changed via the Profile settings in the Member's Area.

Also, modifications have been made to the FLT Surfing Challenge. Now users are only required to surf 10 sites per day but must do so for 30 days in order to complete the challenge. The good thing about this is that we will email you (if your email preferences allow it) at the end of each day reminding you to surf. When you successfully complete a challenge, you are rewarded ten times your initial credit or banner impression wager. We also doubled the amount of credits and impressions you are allowed to wager.

Finally, we've changed the way we handle support requests. The new and improved way allows us to answer all of your questions quickly and more precise. So bring on any questions, comments, or suggestions you may have.

Don't forget about the free site rotator that is included with every account. This is available at no charge without ads, popups, or frames. All active sites within your account are randomly rotated each time your rotator URL is visited. This URL can be found in the Statistics section of the Member's Area.

Currently, both web address will access our site. However, in the future we will be discontinuing http://www.fastlane-traffic.com (the one with the dash) and will only be available from http://www.fastlanetraffic.com

Please update any necessary links you have posted to reflect this change.

I do know this can be confusing and that is why we will be discontinuing the address with the dash.

I have recently made some changes to FLT as well as added a few new features.

The Member's Area and Stats page has been touched up a bit. I encourage all members to login to their account and take a glance at this page. We believe account information is now easier to find.

While logging in, you will notice a rotator URL for your account. At this time, FLT is providing this rotator for all members free of charge. This will randomly rotate all active sites in your FastlaneTraffic account. Unlike other rotators, your site will be shown full-size with absolutely no advertisements. This new feature is completely free as a benefit of your membership.

A new payment option has also been added. Before, Paypal was our only payment processor. However, now you may use a credit card without having a Paypal account. This is done via 2Checkout. Have a look at the awesome benefits and great rates we offer on upgrades and purchases.

The FLT Daily Surfing Contest has been modified. Before the credit rewards were going to the same members each day. Now members are chosen at random to receive credit and banner bonuses each day that they have surfed. This provides the opportunity for each member to win up to 500 banner impressions or 250 site credits daily!

And, don't forget about the FLT Surfing Challenge. We are taking up each and every member on a bet. If you can surf each day for ten consecutive days, you will win up to 500 site credits! Be sure to check out the details in the Member's Area.

We are very excited to bring you this announcement. We have just launched the all new FLT Surfing Challenge. All members are invited to participate. Here how it works:

It's a bet between the member and Fastlane-Traffic. We are challenging you to surf 35 sites or more each day for ten consecutive days. You may choose an amount of credits or banner impressions you wish to risk on the challenge. If you are successful and complete the challenge, you will receive TEN TIMES the amount of your wager.

We have the system up and running at http://www.fastlane-traffic.com/surfingchallenge.pl for those that with to go ahead and participate. It is just a basic design for now, but look for an improved look to come.

FLT has grown rapidly over the last few months and several changes are in order to accommodate a larger, more active exchange.

To start, the daily surfing limit has been removed completely. There are many members who have reached this limit today. Now that it is gone, you may surf as long as you so desire.

Also, several members are having trouble with our IP security check. There is hope for you as well! We are not doing away with this check completely but we are modifying it to be more user friendly. Look for the new check to be in effect after midnight Eastern Time tonight.

Your ideas and suggestions are always welcome.

As the year of 2003 comes to an end, I wanted to thank all the members that have supported Fastlane-Traffic over the last six months.

We started out as a very basic exchange with many bugs in our scripts. It was exciting as we began to work hour after hour learning and experimenting with PERL and MySQL. Our mission was to build a unique exchange that yielded results. With the help and support of our member base, we feel we have made great progress towards this mission.

The new year of 2004 signifies a new beginning. It is a time when we can evaluate where we have been over the last year and plan on how we can improve and succeed with the upcoming one.

I want to remind everyone, as I said when we first started out, FLT is here to stay. We will continue to improve our system and will strive to keep up with the fast-paced traffic exchange industry. We have a few more unique ideas of our own and hope to have one of our current projects completed and released in a few days.

In the mean time, we hope all members can find the time to use FLT on a daily basis. Our system is set up to handle tons of traffic and can yield great results as our unique visitor percentage is kept high and security is tight. Also keep in mind one of our unique qualities is that we give members a 1:1 banner ratio at the same they are earning the 3:2 site ratio. We feel this is one great advantage of using our program.

In conclusion, thank you once again for being a part of our traffic exchange program. Your membership and support has been and will continue to be greatly appreciated!

I would like to first welcome all of our new members! I am proud to report sign-ups have been increasing over the last week or so. This is good news for us all. More members mean we can provide more traffic!

I have a few quick updates to inform you about as well.

#1. When you log into your FLT account, the first page you see will be a brief welcome back, current news, and your account statistics. We updated statistics to show more detailed information about members you have referred. You can easily see how many members you have in each level, credits you have received from them, as well as any commissions you have earned.

#2. FLT is constantly learning more new things and improving the behind-the-scenes scripts our exchange is ran on. We've made some additional improvements to our database structure to improve the speed of surfing and account management.

#3. Because our member base is picking up and FLT is becoming more commonly used, we've decided to hire some help with graphics and design for our program. We are already in the process of getting some new banners designed. If all works well there, we will continue to work with the graphic and design artists for other areas of FLT.

This week we are striving to get all of our current features perfected. We have been updating our scripts to be faster, security to be better, and account management to be easier.

Stay with us. We have a good program. Many members have reported our program already yields great results. We will continue to provide such a program while also improving it to perfection and adding new features. Stay tuned!

We've made some pretty big improvements at FastlaneTraffic. Check them out!

#1 Banners now display 100% correctly when surfing. Before, there were just a few banners with complex tracking URLs that didn't show or link correctly. We've got that fixed!

#2 We have made some pretty amazing improvements to the FLT promotion banners. Not just text any more. We've come to be comfortable with a new word: graphics. The plan is to spice up our whole site with a cool look, but be patient for designing such graphics takes a great amount of time. For now, check out our new banners and place them everywhere you can!

#3 We've also improved the Security Check pages in two ways. First, we cleaned up the look a bit. And, we made it less annoying. As soon as you submit your security number, you are instantly surfing again. This will speed things up while also cutting down on our database costs and unnecessary delays in your surfing.

#4 Site and Banner management is now a little easier. As soon as you have made a change, you are automatically returned to the site or banner page again. Before, you had to click a continue button. Again, this improvement will speed things up while also cutting down on our database costs and unnecessary delays in your account management.

#5 Referral commissions are now offered. Refer as many people as you can to FLT. If and when they decide to purchase an upgrade, you will receive a commission! Level 1: 10%. Level 2: 5%. Level 3: 3%. Level 4: 2%. FLT is still a fairly new program. Current members have great potential to obtain a large down-line and make a ton of money from referral upgrades!

Well hello! It has been a while since I have mailed out an update. I do apologize for flooding you all with emails last month. For those members that have not looked at Fastlane-Traffic since our last email, I invite you to do that right now. We really have made some pretty big improvements over the last few weeks. I have to mention this: our rate of improvement is really faster than one would expect. FLT has only been around for almost three months and we are already fairly highly ranked in the traffic exchange industry! I wonder just how popular we will be in a few more months? ? ?

I also want to mention our upgrade options. Yes, I know. Everywhere on the Internet people are asking for your money. FLT makes the following claim: our traffic quality is just that, QUALITY! We hold true to our promise. Our security checks are unique and as many of you have found out, they are very effective. Here at FLT, we strongly believe in quality, not quantity. By upgrading you can get more out of your membership. We will give you a 1:1 surfing ratio and various amounts of active referrals, credits, and banner impressions depending on your level of upgrade. Running a traffic exchange isn't easy. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and a very large amount of time. By upgrading, both the member and the Webmaster benefit. Members receive a better ratio and extra credits, and the Webmaster receives some reward for all the time and dedication put into his/her program. I am very excited to bring you the following updates.

Members now have more options when managing credits. You can save credits to your account for later use or move credits between sites at any time.

Adding a website is simple now. Free members may have up to five sites. You can remove a site at any time.

Security pages are more now uniform. All members should be able to recognize these pages easily as you surf. Just in case we have any information thieves out there, please know that FLT will never ask for your password or any personal information on our security pages. Also, your first name will be displayed at the bottom of the page. Make sure this matches the name on your FLT account.

Fastlane-Traffic continues to make rapid progress. Our rate of progress is become faster each week. I sincerely thank all those that support FLT. Members are appreciated here! I hope to continually improve and grow to provide the best service for all members.

Wow. I didn't realize just how popular and well-liked Fastlane-Traffic had become. I received many praises about FLT as well as many ideas for improvements. I would like to thank all users for their comments.

Just to let everyone know, we will be keeping our 3:2 ratio. This is somewhat unique for our exchange. I have already improved the stats area a bit. You may now keep track of how many credits you have earned for one day, as well as how many site visits you have received for one day.

Also, I have decided not to go with the "click-a-certain-number feature". I have something much better and unique in mind. I don't want to say what it is just yet, but I hope to have it completed and implemented before the end of next week.

About assigning credits: mixed feedback about this one. Many users like FLT because it is simple and effective. I agree; that's how I like things too. I think being able to assign credits will only enhance FLT's effectiveness. Look for this before the end of next week as well.

Also, I no longer have to reset the daily contest manually. It will reset itself! Gosh, I'm getting good. :) So, the daily surfing contest will end at 12:00 AM Eastern Time each night.

To our regular surfers: remember at the beginning of each hour, you would receive a "wait for countdown" message even though you had waited the full 25 seconds? Guess what? This problem will be no more! We've enhanced our timing scripts. It's now nearly perfect. :)

I would like to take a few moments to update you on our progress with Fastlane-Traffic.

We continue to update FLT hoping to improve the look of our pages. Web Design is not really my thing, but I'm still working at it. I appreciate your patience and appreciate your support through our 'not so attractive' stage.

As for the heart of our exchange: Right now we are just a basic traffic exchange. If you are looking for an extra source for some quality traffic, Fastlane-Traffic will work. Honestly, we are not the #1 place to look, ... yet. I promise to take us there within the next couple of months.

And how exactly am I going to do that??? Well, I've been thinking. Here's what I've come up with.

I want to hear member feedback about these things. Simply reply to this message and let me know what you think about the following:

1 - Changing the 3:2 ratio. Adding 0.66 credit for each site visited is not really easy for all to calculate and understand. What would be a reasonable ratio that would be easier to calculate?

2 - Changing surfing so that you will have to click on a certain number, letter, or color. This would increase hit quality.

3 - Changing how you manage credits, allowing you to surf and then assign credits to the site of your choice. It would take lots of work for this one. But if it's a very popular demand, I will do it this weekend.

4 - Increase member surfing! Please think a moment. I want to hear your honest opinion on changes I can make that will encourage YOU to surf more.

Ok that is the four main things. If there is any additional ideas you have, please let me know.

It's my goal to take FLT to the top. Summer is almost up and I will be starting school in about three weeks. So, time is limited for any major improvement projects. I'm pretty busy this week, but starting Friday afternoon I will take all member suggestions and get to work. : )

I apologize for all the emails recently. I have a few important announcements all members should be aware of.

1. Websites: When adding a site, I have requested that you do not list the exact same twice on your account. Well.. I look and people seem to do it anyway. If you are one of those people, login to your account and remove the 2nd duplicate site and choose to set the status as 'paused'. You've got 48 hours. Any violators adding duplicate sites or sites causing more than one popup, multiple exit popups, frame-breakers, etc. will be penalized 50 credits. Second offense will get your account deleted. Please do the right thing and follow the rules so that Fastlane-Traffic will remain a user-friendly place for webmasters to earn quality hits to their site. My thanks goes out to those who cooperate. :)

2. Credits: This morning there was a very simple scripting error that caused a big problem. Members were not getting credited when surfing. Thanks to Tony, I was made aware of this problem and got it fixed. I also went back and tracked all member activity and added the correct amount of credits to their account. Mistakes happen; when you inform me of them, I can correct it. :) I promise to be more cautious of this type mistake in the future.

3. Bonus credits: Remember, when surfing members are randomly given bonus credits. Also, the daily surfing contest seems to be working well. If you do not already, I encourage you to use FLT on a regular basis. Our basic 3:2 ratio is better than most. And on top of that, we award lots of bonus credits each day.

4. Hit quality: As I was working this morning, I changed a few scripting commands that will allow for better hit quality. When you use an exchange, you want to make sure the hits you are receiving are valid and unique. Fastlane-Traffic is working to provide just that! Hit quality is GOOD now. I have a few more plans that will make it even better over the next few days!!!

5. Report Feature: Within the next two hours, you will see a very advanced 'Report Site' feature. It will allow you to report any of the last three sites you have visited. This will make it easier in reporting those sites that break frames and cause many exit popups. Members successfully reporting an illegal site will receive a 50 credit bonus. This will ensure more user-friendly surfing. It's not there yet, but it will be up and running in about two hours.

Ok what else. There is soo much going on. Major improvements are being made daily!! I remind you of the extra month's upgrade. I promise you it will be worth it!

An Improved Look: We have made a few changes to some of our pages. I hope this change is more inviting for new members and more pleasurable to current members.

Hit Quality: Many of our current members are already members of other traffic exchanges. I would like to inform you that we have increased our traffic quality GREATLY over the last few weeks. Any surfing you do will be just as good as you would do on other exchanges and we offer a better ratio than most other exchanges of this kind. I encourage you to take advantage of this!

Vacation: It's that time of year! I have been working on FLT for two weeks and believe it is 99.9% stable now. It's up to members (you) to start using it. Any upgrades will be handled when I get back, which will be in one week. Talk to you then!

Some more improvements:

Credits count: Previously, some members would receive a "surfing too fast" message even though they had waited the full 15 seconds. This error has been corrected. You will now receive credit each and every time that you click "Next Site" after waiting at least 15 seconds.

Banners: You may now add a banner to our network. If you have a banner on file, you will receive one banner credit for each banner that you view while surfing. I encourage all members to put a banner on file and take advantage of this feature. I will be working on the possibility of allowing more than one banner.

Upcoming updates: Members will be able to add more than one site soon. To eliminate invalid sites, members will also be required to validate their website before they can surf. Also, a complete redesign of Fastlane-Traffic is on our list. Stay tuned! :)

Hello to all three members that joined in the first hour of the launch of Fastlane-traffic. There are still some modifications that we need to make to the surf page, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. Currently, because we are still in the test phase, members receive 1.5 credits for every site they visit. This is double what you would normally receive. We need you help to promote Fastlane-traffic so that we can get more sites in the database. Thanks for being one of the first three members! I hope to be working with you for some time to come.
